50 best players on Texas A&M football's roster: 50-41 showcase intriguing depth of 2025 team
Texas A&M football is looking to have an incredible season in 2025. Part of what they boast that gives fans such hope is their deep and experienced roster.
As fall camp kicks off and the season is ahead, we're counting down the fifty best players on the roster, ten at a time. Here are the first ten on that list.
50: Izaiah Williams
A late flip from Florida in Mike Elko's first-ever class, Williams showed fans something with a big catch and some nice numbers in the spring game. No. 0 has several players ahead of him on the roster at receiver, but he could end up making some noise this year.
49: Jacob Zeno
Zeno was a great add from UAB and Baylor to help fill out the quarterback room. With the departure of Weigman, the QBs overall were quite talented yet very green— Zeno's experience and accuracy are the perfect complement to the personnel in there. He'll be battling Miles O'Neill for the backup spot, and though I have him ranked low, his experience will go a long way there.
48: DJ Sanders
This is a guy that we have zero tape on in an Aggie uniform, but his reputation precedes him. A huge and explosive athlete, it won't be long until Sanders sees the field for the Ags. It could be as soon as this season, given the lack of depth on the interior.
47: Lamont Rogers
Rogers was a huge win for the Ags in the previous cycle, as A&M flipped him from Missouri. The five-star offensive tackle has but to sit back and enjoy a redshirt year, though, as absent some really bad injury luck, he won't be pressed into duty in 2025. He'll figure in prominently in the following years, undoubtedly.
46: Randy Bond
You can only go so high on this list as a kicker, and while Bond is somewhat unfairly maligned, he's not among the top in the nation at his position. He's reliable enough for A&M within a certain distance, but long-range kicks have been an issue. He'll be in some pretty vital spots for the Aggies this year, of course, so here's hoping he delivers.
45: Kiotti Armstrong
I'm pretty high on what Armstrong can bring to this team. He's listed as a TE, but he's really just a "jumbo athlete"; some teams even wanted him to play defensive line. His combination of size and speed reminds me of former Georgia TE Darnell Washington; he's raw, but his talent will get him on the field sooner rather than later.
44: EJ Smith
The graduate in his second year at A&M after spending four at Stanford may be at the back of the line in a very deep running back room for the Aggies. He didn't show his best stuff last year, but the book on him remains that he can be a legitimate pass-catching threat out of the backfield. Hopefully he can harness his talents in 2025.
43: Jerome Myles
Coming off of an ACL injury last fall, Myles speed-ran his recovery with intensity, and is now practicing with the team. His potential as a receiver is as high as anyone on the team, so if he can round back into form completely this season, he will be on the field.
42: Jayvon Thomas
A former top-100 recruit, Thomas has yet to see the field in significant measure. He could be in the rotation at corner in this upcoming year, but there's some solid young talent that could also challenge in that respect. This is a bit of a make-or-break year for him.
41: Noah Mikhail
The true freshman linebacker has drawn some rave reviews since arriving in College Station. The starters are set, but Mikhail could work his way onto the field before long. If nothing else, he's a guy to watch for the 2026 season as a starter.
