Texas A&M football is set to have a much higher number of players drafted this year than they have in seasons past, thanks in large part to the development that they've seen under Mike Elko's rejuvenated program. This is a massive testament to the transformation that the Aggies have undergone with Elko at the helm, as putting players in the big leagues was a sore spot under previous coaches.
One of the top names to know when it comes to this year's draft for the Maroon and White is reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Year Cashius Howell. The former Bowling Green State pass rusher has made himself into a first-round-level talent under Elko and the Aggies, and with a solid pre-draft showing, that promise will pay off soon.
The only question is where exactly he will end up. Dallas radio host Bob Sturm, one of the most discerning voices when it comes to America's Team, has a pretty good idea of how his fit might look with a star on his helmet.
Cowboys expert Bob Sturm predicts Cashius Howell would "fit very well" in Dallas
This would certainly be an exciting fit for Aggie fans, as many of them follow the Cowboys as their professional team.
I think Cashius Howell might fit very well across from Donovan Ezeiruaku in an odd front.

The Cowboys already very clearly have their eyes on the Aggies leading up to the draft, and Howell could be one of the top guys that they're looking at. Dallas has picks at 12 and at 20 after the Micah Parsons trade, so that latter pick would be just barely on the high end of where Howell is projected to land in this first round.
The question is whether Howell's draft stock will remain at this level throughout the entire pre-draft process. His measurements will likely come in below average— the same thing that kept him from being a more highly-rated recruit— which could scare some teams off.
If the Cowboys hold fast, though, he could prove to be a huge pickup for them if they follow through on this projection from one of the brightest minds covering their team. Here's hoping we see Cashius making plays for America's team next year!
