Despite sluggish start, Texas A&M baseball searching for blood this weekend

In a rematch of the 2024 College World Series Championship, the Aggies should be motivated for this series.

Texas A&M baseball has been vastly disappointed to start the 2025 regular season.

The best Aggie baseball team we ever saw was the one that was one win away from one of the greatest victories in Aggie sports history. The Aggies were up 1-0 in the College World Series Championship, until Tennessee got the bats going at the perfect time when their backs were against the wall.

Since then, Jim Schlossnagle left the Aggies after one of the more infamous lies ever told, Michael Earley took over, and after Aggies have suffered multiple injuries to begin the season, the Aggies have dipped down quickly from the AP No. 1 team to a vastly different squad that looks unrecognizable.

Nonetheless, the Aggies are looking for revenge this weekend, and it's a perfect time for the Aggies to go back to their original roots.

Texas A&M-Tennessee rematch could ignite season in right direction

This has obviously not been the season to start for Texas A&M after starting as the No. 1 team. Of course, this will be their toughest test yet, but they have to get back after suffering numerous injuries if they want to look relevant in time for postseason play.

One thing that Aggie fans have loved is that Earley has gotten fired up, and he hasn't been afraid to defend his guys whenever needed. After engaging in a screaming match with the Kentucky bench, the guys in the dugout have gotten to see that Earley isn't just a typical mild-mannered guy.

Even with the screaming matches and injuries, the fact is that the Aggies have an awful SEC record, so now's the time to get back into it if they want to look relevant for the rest of the season.
