Eight Texas A&M football signees who can contribute right away
With all of Texas A&M football's commits now officially inking with the Ags, the 2025 cycle is effectively over for the Maroon and White. This is a well-rounded and exciting class with plenty of talent to go around.
There will no doubt be a lot of portal activity for this staff as well, but there are a few names among the Aggie signees that could see some early playing time. Here are eight players who could make an instant impact with Texas A&M football.
Instant-impact Texas A&M football signees: DT Chace Sims
Sims was a big win for the early evaluation talent of Mike Elko and this staff, who were all over this recruitment before the Richmond Randle product really blew up. Every big time program saw his rapid rise and wanted in, but the Aggies were in there first.
That decision ended up paying off for A&M, as Sims stuck with the Aggies despite repeated overtures from Texas. It's a good thing for the Ags, too, as Sims could be one of the first from this class on the field.
With reduced depth at defensive tackle with the prospective departures of Shemar Turner, Albert Regis, Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy, Rodas Johnson, and others, Sims could have a quick path to the field. He certainly has the goods to compete at a high level, and we could see him putting those on display sooner rather than later.
