ESPN College GameDay analysts are split with picks in Lone Star Showdown
ESPN College GameDay is in College Station for the second time this season. The first time the crew came to town was in week one with Texas A&M losing to Notre Dame.
Texas A&M alums and YouTube stars Dude Perfect were on hand as celebrity guest pickers, and made it very clear they were backing the Aggies all the way.
As the crew always does, the analysts made their picks with Lee Corso putting on his weekly headgear. Kirk Herbstreit, who will call the game with Chris Fowler on ABC did not make a pick.
Desmond Howard: Texas A&M
The former Heisman winner from Michigan thinks the game will be won in the trenches.
He credits A&M's defensive front to put pressure on Quinn Ewers, who may not be at 100 percent according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Howard finished off by saying, "I'm going Gig 'em, howdy!"
Nick Saban: Texas
The legendary Nick Saban respects Kyle Field as one of the toughest places to play in college football, but he will stick to his guns and pick the Longhorns to win.
Pat McAfee: Texas A&M
Pat McAfee basically started the crowd chanting on their own at the beginning of the show.
He kept that momentum going near the end of the show by picking the Aggies.
"You're talking about blue collar versus everything handed to them... you're talking about the underdog versus the expected," McAfee said.
Dude Perfect: Texas A&M
The guest picker of today's show assured the 12th Man will be so loud that they will impact the outcome today.
Lee Corso: Texas
This comes to no surprise with Lee Corso picking Texas to win the national championship from day one. Corso has already won picking against the Aggies this season.
Corso did the hook 'em signature as he wore the Bevo head as the crowd voiced their displeasure.
So it seems the crew of College GameDay is just as split as the state of Texas on who will win the revival of this classic rivalry.
