With College Gameday in College Station, there's much to discuss leading up to the 2024 Lone Star Showdown. The biggest question in this game will be the availability of Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers.

Although he's been listed as probable, there is one major concern that might impact his game tonight. One ESPN insider has already flirted with the idea of Arch Manning getting snaps tonight.

ESPN's Pete Thamel reports Ewers is "not going to be 100 percent tonight"

Ewers is dealing with a high ankle sprain he suffered against Kentucky. Now, the question remains, how far can he go against a swarming Aggie defense with a season on the line?

Sources have told ESPN's Pete Thamel that Ewers is "not going to be 100 percent tonight."

Just like other reporters, Thamel has left open the possibility of Manning getting reps against the Aggies tonight. Thamel also referred to Ewers' running ability being a concern if that high ankle sprain is causing trouble.

It's not a question of if Ewers would play, but If he were to take a big hit, expect Manning to be warming up on the sideline.

Considering Texas A&M has not covered running quarterbacks too well, this is huge news for the defense to possibly run more blitz packages. Nic Scourton with five sacks on the year, just might have a chance to define his season entirely in one contest.

We've been monitoring the injury to Ewers all week long, but Thamel confirming what we all thought on the day of the game is more alarming for Longhorn fans.
