Texas A&M football just took on a pretty tough loss on the field. The Aggies were right there with the no. 3 team in the country, but were unable to make some of the decisive plays they needed to in order to take control of the game.
However, the atmosphere—as you'd expect at Kyle Field—was positively electric. It's a well-known fact that when things are rolling in the Home of the 12th Man, there's not a venue in America that can match it.
That atmosphere could still pay off bigtime for the Aggies, as they hosted a bevy of highly-rated recruits, and are looking to pull off some big flips before signing day. The first one of those may be in the pipeline.
Texas A&M football now considered leader in the clubhouse for Jerome Myles after 5-star WR decommits from Southern Cal
Earlier this evening, eyebrows were raised around the recruiting landscape when five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles, out of Corner Canyon, Utah, decommitted from Southern Cal. It was reported that he was in College Station this weekend, but USC insiders had been saying that visit never came to fruition—now, though, it's looking like the Trojan faithful may have had some bad information.
Almost as soon as that transpired, the predictions came rolling in for another team to land him. That team, of course, is the Texas A&M Aggies.
This is just the commit that the Aggies need, in the worst way. They need an infusion of talent at the receiver spot, and Myles would help the Aggies tremendously. With the early signing period beginning this Wednesday, A&M could make some serious noise with some of the momentum they have coming off of this game.
