Extent of star Aggie RB's injury shows how mind-boggling his recovery has been

We knew it was bad, but this is another level.

Texas A&M football's season went down the pipes last year right when Le'Veon Moss went down with injury. The Aggies kept the game close for a half with South Carolina, but on the back of several failed fourth-and-short conversions— the kind at which Moss excels— they were eventually blown out by the Gamecocks.

Similar failures dotted the remainder of their losses, of course— for as much as the defense is to blame, it's hard not to think that the presence of Le'Veon would have bolstered this offense to a great degree. We knew his injury was serious from the moment it occurred— it looked bad on the sideline, and he was described as out for the year not long afterwards.

Though there was back channel talk about how bad it was, we didn't quite know the extent until now. In meeting with the media today, Moss outlined just how horrendous his injury was— and it has really opened fans' eyes to just how crazy his comeback has been.

Le'Veon Moss says he's at 100% for Texas A&M football despite tearing ACL and MCL last fall

There was some question as to whether Moss would be back and ready to go in game one given the apparent severity of last fall's injury, but the man himself says he's ready and raring to go:

This is despite him apparently having torn both his ACL and MCL in that injury last fall. For him to be back at 100% less than a year later is a resounding testament to the skill of the A&M medical and training staff.

Injuries have already cast a bit of a pall on this buildup to the first game here, but Moss's presence is maybe the most impactful of any player not named Marcel Reed. It's great to have him back— this season will go as he does, most likely— and hopefully he can put together the all-SEC year that fans are an
