Texas A&M football true freshman receiver Jerome Myles is expected to miss the 2025 season, according to a report by Jaxson Callaway of On3, also known as AggiesToday.

Myles flipped to the Aggies on signing day after a long time commitment to the USC Trojans, becoming the second five-star commit of the class alongside Lamont Rogers, and the first five-star receiver to sign with the Aggies since Evan Stewart and Chris Marshall in the 2022 class.
The receiver out of Corner Canyon, Utah, was a teammate of Aggie quarterback commitment Helaman Casuga in high school, but suffered a season-ending injury last year as well. He was recovering well from that injury in the spring, posting some eye-catching track times, but this is the kind of setback you absolutely don't want to see.

Successive injuries like this cast a grave cloud over the future of a player, if for no other reason than the lack of reps that said player gets. That said, we live in a time where sports medicine is more advanced and sophisticated than ever, and the Aggies have top of the line treatment lined up without a doubt.
As far as on-field contribution, it's tough to say whether this really affects the Aggies all that much for this upcoming season. Myles is highly talented, but Mario Craver, Ashton Bethel-Roman, and KC Concepcion form quite the corps for the Aggies in 2025.
The concern is more for the future, but Callaway himself says his sources are bullish on his prospects for recovery:
The expectation is that Jerome Myles will be able to fully recover with no limitations well-ahead of next season, according to a source.

Hopefully this is exactly what comes to pass. Myles coming back will be huge for the A&M receiving room going forward, especially with a guy like Aaron Gregory coming on board before the beginning of the 2026 season.
This column will be updated shortly with comments from Mike Elko, who is set to meet with the media in moments.
Update: Elko confirmed that Myles will miss the year with a "lower leg injury," but didn't specify other than that.
