What Texas A&M learned over bye week: Aggies need Scooby before road trip commences

The Ags will be facing off with a few running quarterbacks in the upcoming weeks, not least of which is Arkansa's Taylen Green. The Aggies were able to contain the Boise State transfer pretty well last year, but another year in Bobby Petrino's system has served him well.

His legs have been more formidable than his arm up until this point, so they will need an effective spy against him. Scooby Williams is the most athletic linebacker on the Aggies' team (though perhaps Daymion Sanford would have something to say about that), so he needs to be back by then.

It's not just Green, though: Missouri's Beau Pribula has shown that he will hurt teams with his legs quite a bit as well. Keeping him in check on the ground will be paramount, and Scooby is the guy for the job on this A&M defense.

Auburn also boasts a running quarterback in Jackson Arnold, but I don't think Scooby will be ready in time for this Saturday if latest reports are anything to go by. I would hope to see him back by Mississippi State or Florida, but they'll need him in full effect for the three-game road trip.
