Texas A&M fans emerged from the Notre Dame game jubilant thanks to the big win, but worried going forward due to two injuries to defensive starters that put them out of the rest of the game.
The more serious-looking injury happened to Bryce Anderson at the end of the first half, where he had to eventually be stretchered off of the field. Hopes were low for Bryce to be ready in any sort of short timeframe, but it looks like he has avoided any serious injury and could even be back this season to play for the Aggies.
The other injury happened a few plays beforehand, as Scooby Williams exited the field after making a big play. He intercepted CJ Carr to give the Aggies the ball back before the half, and they capitalized with a touchdown to take the lead over the Irish; however, Scooby headed into the tent following the turnover. His status was described after the game as "doubtful to return, but available."
There was no official word on Scooby after that point, and the silence had grown unnerving. Now, though, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports just put out a report that will relieve Aggie fans everywhere.
Texas A&M football LB Scooby Williams' injury not considered to be major, per Matt Zenitz
Zenitz put out the following report this evening:
An update on Texas A&M linebacker Scooby Williams, who injured his ankle vs. Notre Dame last weekend and had been undergoing further testing:

The injury isn’t considered to be major or long-term, sources tell @CBSSports.https://t.co/NfAwFxkdOU pic.twitter.com/ygNfEqYJIc
This is a major sigh of relief for Texas A&M fans. Scooby is a senior starter at linebacker, and he and Taurean York make a great tandem. He's one of the most athletic players on the entire defense, and the unit benefits greatly from his presence.
Daymion Sanford filled in admirably for Scooby during the rest of the game up in South Bend, and he will likely continue to do so until Williams returns. There is no official timeline for him getting back on the field, but Mike Elko will no doubt be asked about it at his press conference on Monday.
