It's been a busy day for Texas A&M basketball. First, they signed Bryson Warren, a G League standout who has experience with the Westchester Knicks. Surely, that won't go over well with other schools that hate the idea of former NBA guys back in college, but an instant star is with A&M nonetheless.
Since that happened, it was announced that Mackenzie Mgbako, the de facto star, will come back next season. Aggie fans are excited to see what's to come under Bucky McMillan's second season.
Now, former guard Pop Isaacs will be transferring just a few hours north to Oklahoma. Not the ideal school fans would want to see, but it's happening. Joe Tipton of On3 learned of Isaacs transferring.

After years of battles in the Big 12 in the 90s and 2000s, the Aggies and Sooners are competitive rivals. It's not the end of the world if you're an Aggie fan, but you'd rather see Isaacs transfer out of the conference, or at least not to Oklahoma.
This is also Isaacs' fourth team in as many seasons, and while he's been a consistent playmaker and shooter, he has never developed any real long-term chemistry. Maybe a break for Bucky and the rest of the guys.
It doesn't necessarily matter where he goes, but knowing he's not going to be an Aggie again, we have to admit, the Sooners are getting a good one. Isaacs shot nearly 40 percent from deep and averaged 9.8 points per game. He was the perfect piece under McMillan, but he won't be as missed as fans thought at first.
The Aggies have a G League standout and their best player from last season coming back from a season-ending injury. If McMillan was able to take this team to the Round of 32, banged up with no expectations, he's going to give the Aggies a show next season.
