Texas A&M's bread and butter laid an egg against Miami in what was their biggest game of the season.

Some might say the wind gusts impacted both teams out there, as Miami kicker Carter Davis went 1/4 on field goals, but someone had to break through eventually, and the Aggies were on the wrong side of that.

Marcel Reed laid an egg out there. We know it. The fans know it. The team knows it. Our last list of risers and fallers for the season is here.

Faller: Marcel Reed

Like I said, we all know it.

Reed went 25/39, for 237 yards and two interceptions. One of them was in the final seconds on a pass intended for Theo Melin Ohrstrom. This was a fear that Texas A&M fans had, and this game pretty much confirmed all their worries.

Reed has been a Heisman contender at times, but when he's on center stage, he has folded under pressure. Reed still looks like the QB of the future, but they might give a couple of looks at the portal to keep their options open.

Riser: Dalton Brooks

Brooks gave the Aggies a real chance after forcing a turnover. He stripped Miami's Malachi Toney on a catch and run, and Daymion Sanford recovered the fumble.

Brooks tied the team in total tackles with Sanford and Will Lee III. Brooks also had a sack and a tackle for loss, and looked like the best defender all day long.

Faller: Jared Zirkel

I don't even know what happened here.

Jared Zirkel started the game and got his chance at a field goal. He kicked it low, and the kick was blocked. Randy Bond came into this game with his worst field goal percentage of any season, but if we're honest, he hasn't been needed as much compared to previous years because of the offensive firepower.

Elko might've been judging off a small margin of error from the South Carolina game, but other than that, why was Bond kicked to the curb? Bond redeemed himself by making a game-tying field goal, but Elko has some questions to answer regarding their kicking game.

Faller: Trey Zuhn III

We all remember the subtle trash talk from Zuhn III to Rueben Bain Jr. After three sacks and four tackles for loss, it's safe to say Bain Jr. got the best of that battle.

You can talk the talk, but you've got to walk the walk, and the offensive line didn't do that. The run game was nonexistent, further contributing to what was a nightmare on offense.

Riser: Mario Craver

Mario Craver was by far the best part of the A&M offense. He had seven catches and 92 yards.

The Carver and KC Concepcion have been lethal this season, and even though the Aggies' season is done, A&M fans won't realize how spoiled they were watching Craver in 2025, after a bad WR room in 2024.

Faller: Texas A&M run game

We could start and end with Moss, but to be fair, he went down with an injury, and the run game could barely get anything going on the ground.

Elko said it perfectly. You've got to win on the ground in the playoffs. You have to get physical, and that didn't happen.

Bain Jr. and the Miami front seven got the best of what was a sloppy day for the Aggies' offense.
