Texas A&M football is gradually building back some momentum in the class of 2026. After suffering three decommitments and being left without a single pledge in the state of Texas only a week ago, the Ags have made two big time moves in adding RB Jonathan Hatton Jr and WR Mike Brown Jr thanks to a stellar visit weekend.

The Aggies are looking to build on that momentum. At one time, this was the top-ranked class in the nation for the cycle; a drought in commitments over the past few months has seen them fall down those rankings.

Even so, the Aggies have remained in on some of their top targets. One of those targets, five-star Brandon Arrington, will be returning to College Station this weekend.

Five-star CB Brandon Arrington set to visit Texas A&M football this weekend

Arrington is a long, rangy corner prospect who is listed as an athlete thanks to his versatility. It's not hard to see why; with his length and athleticism, he could certainly play multiple positions.

The Aggies see him as a corner, though, as do many schools recruiting him. This A&M staff was in early on Arrington, and he's made several visits to Aggieland over the past year. Getting him back in town is a must, as other programs have been turning up the heat.

Arrington has been predicted to the Aggies by On3's Steve Wiltfong, and that prediction remains up on their site. Of course, in recruiting, things can change by the minute— so it's great news that Arrington will be back on campus in order for the Aggies to stem any momentum other programs have built.

This is a chance for the Aggies to close out the deal and make a big time move. Arrington is a true-blue five-star prospect, so getting him in the boat would be a major win for the Aggies. With a guy this highly-touted, though, you have to know that the recruitment will go up until signing day— commitment or no.

We'll see where the Aggies stand on the other end of this visit, but the relationships seem to be very strong in College Station. Whether or not he makes an official commitment by the end of the weekend remains to be seen, but this is an exciting step in the right direction by the Aggies.
