Houston Texans land huge steal in former Texas A&M football WR Christian Kirk

The Houston Texans are going to get former Aggie great Christian Kirk. In exchange, the Jaguars will get a future seventh-round pick..

We here at Gig Em' Gazette had this prediction just moments before the news broke, and it makes sense as to why. Kirk brings a veteran presence to a young group with Nico Collins and Tank Dell, who will be sidelined for the majority of the 2025 season recovering from a gruesome injury.

Houston made a perfect move by getting Kirk

Kirk provides the depth that Houston badly needed near of the end of the 2024 season.

With Dell going down to injury, and Diggs already missing the majority of the season, this put C.J. Stroud in a tough spot with Collins, Xavier Hutchinson and Dalton Schultz as his main men.

Now, with a mix of young guys and veterans, this sets up Stroud for what could be a remarkable season. Stroud has already broke the mold of what a rookie and a second-year man should play like. Now, he'll be entering his third season with golden gems at his disposal.

With Joe Mixon as the first string running back, and the offensive line seeming to mesh well with Stroud, the offense is in a position unlike any other in their short history.

Kirk has the tools needed to be what Houston needed. He's a fine route runner while also making plenty of noise after the catch. Not to mention, Kirk gives the Aggie fans a geographical advantage, with College Station only being about a two-hour drive to NRG Stadium.
