How to watch Ohio State and Notre Dame face off in CFP National Championship game

The national championship is finally here to close the book on the 2024 season, which many Texas A&M football fans will be eager to do. After a promising start to the season, the Aggies fell behind the 8-ball in their last five games and were unable to follow through on their promising start.

For a bit, it looked like the same could be the case for either of the squads in the championship game tonight— it’s been an interesting road for both of these teams. Ohio State entered the year as one of the clear title favorites in the sport, and their early-season showdown with Oregon was one of the highlights of the year.

The Ducks triumphed by one point thanks to clock mismanagement by the Buckeyes on what ended up as the final down of the game. Will Howard slid too late on a QB scramble, and even though OSU had a timeout remaining in field goal range, the clock expired.

There were some more near misses for Ryan Day’s squad throughout the year, but OSU’s stock bottomed out with a loss to what had been a pretty bad Michigan team. Since that game, though, the Buckeyes have been an absolute machine.

Notre Dame’s nadir came much earlier in the year, when they lost to Northern Illinois in week two of the season. The Huskies triumphed in one of the most improbable results we’ve seen in recent history— but since that point, the Irish have been a complete buzzsaw.

Ohio State is favored for good reason in this one, but I think Aggie fans would rather see the Irish win this one for several reasons. Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch this one.
