Marcel Reed has gone down with an injury in the second-straight game, now in an extremely key and high-leverage moment for the Aggies.

Down three in the fourth quarter, the Aggies got the ball against the Fighting Irish hoping to reclaim the lead in this back-and-forth game. Marcel Reed, who has been stellar so far in this game both passing and running the ball, pulled it down and ran on a designed QB keeper, but he was popped hard by a Notre Dame defender.

After the play, he remained down for a few moments. The medical team came directly over to evaluate him and he was taken to the injury tent. Moments later, the referee team began to evaluate the hit on the play, where Adon Shuler launched directly into Reed's shoulder with his helmet, for targeting, which was confirmed upon replay.

Marcel Reed injured against Notre Dame: What fans need to know

However, Marcel Reed came directly back in the game after one play was run by Miles O'Neill against the Fighting Irish. He appears to be all good after a hard hit by the Irish, and completed a pass on his first play to Terry Bussey.

Losing Reed would have been a massive blow to the Aggies in several respects. First of all, he's done an amazing job dicing up a great Notre Dame defense on the road, but secondly, the Aggies have had multiple players go down with injury, some pretty scary.

Scooby Williams went out with an injury before the first half ended, and then Bryce Anderson had to be carted off with what appeared to be a pretty scary upper-body injury. Hopefully, both of those players are okay, but we see Reed back out and dealing for the Aggies now, so we know he's in okay shpae.
