Texas A&M fans know very well they can't sleep against South Carolina, as LaNorris Sellers absolutely smoked the A&M defense last year, and was the beginning of the slow end to Texas A&M's season in 2024.
We remember when Le'Veon Moss suffered a season-ending injury, and he's healing from another significant injury right now. This isn't one where the football gods are all of a sudden putting the voodoo against the Aggies, but fans have a long memory.
Mario Craver was listed as questionable in the weekly injury report. Everything has been going great for the Aggies, so this is definitely a slight scare for the fans.
Mario Craver listed as questionable vs. South Carolina
Craver's initial concern stemmed from the Missouri game, when he went to the medical tent after limping off the field. Since then, he returned to play, but this could be the medical team just being cautious.
All looked good after he went back out there to play, but he was still walking gingerly at times.
It won't be the end of the world if Craver can't go. Ashton Bethel-Roman has been taking a step in the right direction, and Terry Bussey is more than used to getting reps at WR. It could also open up the run game a lot more to get Rueben Owens II another 100+ yard game.
All Marcel Reed needs is time to throw the football. Of course, no one wants to see Craver hurt, but if fans were given the choice, they'd probably rather have the offensive line stay healthy to protect Reed and buy him time to find his receivers.
It's going to be a bummer if Craver doesn't play, but this could be for safety for when they need him most.
