Texas A&M baseball fans will finally get their chance to let Jim Schlossnagle know exactly what they think of him this weekend live and in person, as he returns to Blue Bell Park this weekend for the first time since his betrayal of the Aggies two seasons ago.
The dishonorable way that Schloss left Texas A&M needs no recounting here; his exit was roundly mocked and decried by many in the national media despite a media push from Texas to rehab his image. Since that point, he's found some success on the diamond down in Austin, while the Aggies haven't exactly lived up to expectations, but we're about to see them meet in College Station for the first time since the break.
Texas A&M baseball preparing most toxic environment possible for Jim Schlossnagle's return to College Station
As was easy to anticipate, the ticket prices for this reunion are already through the roof.
Someone asked this earlier.

The get-in price for @TexasBaseball and @AggieBaseball Friday night is unreal.

There have been Aggies wondering all week— and even longer— about what kinds of signs to write and hold up in the crowd, what kind of things to say to him, and generally how to give him the welcome he deserves. This is going to be as motivated of a crowd as you'll see in college baseball, but you can bet that Schlossnagle will bring a squad that is ready to compete.
The one thing that could spoil this is the level of fanbase dissatisfaction with Michael Earley at the moment. Texas A&M is doing well right now, especially off of their series win over Vanderbilt, but if Earley can't get this series win, then it could be a tough look for him.
If things get ugly, it could deflate the environment over the course of the weekend. As long as Texas A&M is competitive in this series, however, the crowd will be there to give them the best possible chance. This is going to be one of the most hostile crowds that any player has ever seen— and it will be a glorious thing for Aggie fans to watch.
