KC Concepcion just gave Browns fans a reason for both elation and anxiety

If you didn't know that KC Concepcion is a receiver who is going to make some huge waves in the NFL, you know now. In his first preseason action, Concepcion, the first-round pick for the Cleveland Browns, was electric the entire game yesterday, and fans were anxious to see him get as many touches as possible.

This is not news to Texas A&M fans, of course— from his first game in the maroon and white, KC was lighting it up. He quickly became a reliable, go-to receiver, as well as a big-play threat every time he touched the ball thanks to his ability to make things happen after the catch.

It's not just as a receiver that KC has prodigious skills, either— he made a lot of noise in the punt return game, as well, including a massive one that he housed against LSU to blow the game against the Tigers wide open. He put it all on display for the Browns yesterday against the Bears, and was pretty much the lone bright spot on the day for Cleveland— showing something that should both comfort and unsettle Browns fans.

The first thing that caught the eyes of Browns fans and others was this big time punt return, which KC would have been able to take to the house had he not been tripped up by the turf monster.

That shows both his impressive balance and shiftiness in the open field, both of which are qualities that made him such a premium prospect and deadly weapon for the Aggies— and now, the Browns. Despite the slip-up (literally) at the end of the play, the normally sure-footed KC would take that one to the house 99 times out of 100, something that has to get Cleveland fans excited about the future of their punt return game.

The next highlight was KC's contact balance and toughness in getting to the end zone— again, something that Texas A&M fans saw more than just a little bit of during his time in College Station. Watch how he fights through the tackles and does everything he can to get to the end zone on this play:

That's the kind of effort that will have KC sticking around for quite a while in the NFL, and it's the kind of effort that he brings to every touch he gets. You can clearly see that he's a budding star and it won't be long before he's mentioned as one of the league's deadliest offensive weapons.

That should both encourage Browns fans and cause them to get a little bit worried. The other glaring thing from this game is that Cleveland is so, profoundly far from having a good answer at the quarterback position right now.

Receivers can't do everything— as good as KC is, if the QB can't get him the ball, he can only be so useful. Cleveland needs to figure out how to maximize KC's talents before other teams come calling for him in free agency— the duality of having a player this good is that it can start a timer before things come to a head. Cleveland doesn't want to get there with a guy as good as KC, so they had better get things figured out quickly.
