Texas A&M receiver KC Concepcion is all but assured to be a high pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, with some even slotting him to go in the first round. While that's nowhere near a consensus, KC's abilities and numbers certainly make that an easy case for fans to put together.

But one thing that has become clear in the leadup to the draft is that KC Concepcion the person may be even better than KC Concepcion the football player. As personal stories have emerged about the dynamic Texas A&M pass-catcher, fans have seen another side of KC— one which has seen his fair share of struggle, but has capitalized on those experiences to improve personally.

That has been thrown into even sharper relief with a recent piece by KC on the Player's Tribune, which every single Aggie fan should take some time to read. It gives a look behind the curtain at the man himself— and it is sure to win him fans all across this league.

Here are some quotes from the article, beginning with KC's trademark confidence:

"I'm the best receiver in this draft. Period. I run crisp routes. I catch everything thrown anywhere near me. I work my tail off every practice, every drill. I get in and out of my breaks fast. And I will outwork ANYBODY you put in front of me."
KC Concepcion

It's hard to argue with him here. The elevation he brought to this Aggie offense last season was impossible to deny, and he was must-watch TV from the very first game.

KC clearly is happy with his decision to come to College Station, as well:

"This past season was even better than I could've imagined. And playing for the Aggies was the best time of my life. Coach Elko and Coach Wiggins have fully prepared me for what lies ahead."

That's a heck of an advertisement for your program, if nothing else.

KC spends a lot of time in the article on his personal struggles, and has the following as part of his conclusion:

"So, to any kid out there who is carrying something heavy right now - a stutter, something that makes you feel different, anything that's ever made someone look at you sideways... just know this: my success... it is your success too."
KC Concepcion

That's the kind of guy that KC is. He's not just playing for himself, and he never has been. This shows that the NFL GM who selects him will be more than thrilled with their selection.
