Texas A&M football has some big fish to fry when they go to Las Vegas to face USC to close out 2024.
Much of this season was about Mike Elko figuring out the ropes of the SEC, much of which has to be cleaned up in 2025.
Instead of Elko staying at peace of mind, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin decided to have some fun with Elko this weekend.

It seems Elko has bought in to the Manziel lore for the culture of Texas A&M.
Kiffin decided to use laughing emojis and also tag his defensive coordinator, Pete Golding.
This jab comes in the wake of Ole Miss getting a commitment from a portal player who had, literally hours beforehand, committed to Texas A&M football. That's what the original gif by Mike Elko was in reference to, and why Kiffin chose to deride him.
Elko is getting his mind right with five star guys buying into his program. Marcel Reed will be older and wiser, and the run game is just getting established in College Station. Of course Elko would want to celebrate the little victories.
However, Kiffin decided to use this to stir the pot. The two fanbases will bookmark this moment as a way to start the Elko-Kiffin chapter.
