There was one big complaint among Texas A&M football fans that rung out over the previous decade when it comes to roster construction: the wide receiver position simply was not up to snuff. After the departure of Christian Kirk to the NFL, the Aggies were wandering in the wilderness as regards pass-catchers for quite some time.
There were some bright spots, yes: Kendrick Rogers showed some major flashes with a few huge catches that Aggie fans will always remember. Quartney Davis made some plays as well. Ainias Smith was a stalwart for years in an Aggie uniform as well.
But it wasn't until last year that Texas A&M fans felt like they truly had a receiver room that could match up with the kind of talent we saw from this program earlier on in their SEC tenure. KC Concepcion, Mario Craver, and Ashton Bethel-Roman lifted the Aggies to heights they hadn't seen since the days of Josh Reynolds, Ricky Seals-Jones, and the aforementioned Christian Kirk.
The best part is that the Aggies seem all but assured to continue that quality in the receiver room thanks to this new coaching staff working with all their might to make it so. Not only are the Aggies well-positioned for the upcoming year, but going into next season and the broader future, they look like they will once again be a top destination for receiving talent.
New ranking testifies that Texas A&M's receiver room is only going to keep getting better
Rivals put out the following graphic showing the best receiver rooms in this upcoming recruiting class, and the Aggies are a notable feature here:

Texas A&M is most likely in this graphic mainly because of those top two players: McFarland and Upshaw, who are both within the top 50 players in the nation regardless of position. McFarland has spent a lot of time this cycle as a five-star player and is currently just barely below that designation, while Upshaw has been on a steady climb in the rankings this year.
The real intrigue for Texas A&M fans comes with the next name on that list. Damani Warren was a five-star early in the cycle before a shoulder injury derailed his career, having to sit out the previous season. If he can show off just why he was considered such a talent with a big performance this upcoming year, Texas A&M's class may rise even further in estimation.
Trey Haddad should be mentioned as well— the Aggies clearly see something in him despite his low ranking in national services, so don't count out his chance to play a role for them in the coming seasons. This is one that fans should watch closely.
With Mario Craver, Isaiah Horton, Ashton Bethel-Roman, Aaron Gregory, and even a potential sleeper like Jerome Myles already on campus, the Aggies clearly won't be slowing down anytime soon with their receiver recruiting. Things are only trending up for Texas A&M at this all-important position, which shows that they will be even harder for other teams to stop going into the future.
