You love to see it! Fresh off their first trip to the College Football Playoff to date, the Texas A&M Aggies are poised to make some more noise under their outstanding head coach Mike Elko this fall. Now that Texas A&M has broken through its playoff glass ceiling, it is only a matter of time before the Aggies use all of their massive talent to their advantage, and win the whole thing?! They just might...

Frampton may see his stock rise in the near future by simply being committed to Texas A&M. Right now, Elko's 2027 class is highlighted by the likes of Kennedy Brown, Zyron Forstall, Raylaun Henry, Myels Smith, and JayQuan Snell. These are all top-55 recruits in this cycle, no matter where you look. Outside of Smith, the rest are firmly inside the top 40 when it comes to the 2027 recruiting rankings.
With how well Elko has recruited since coming back to College Station, this thing is picking up steam.
Mike Elko is doing exactly what he needs to win a national championship
For those who need a bit of a refresher, the blue-chip ratio is the percentage of incoming recruits from high school or junior college that are four and five-star prospects. This effectively means the percentage of your roster that can conceivably play in the NFL one day. Many non-blue-chippers make their way to the NFL, while there are plenty of four and five-stars who never sniff the pros...
However, what Texas A&M is doing is giving the Aggies more good bites at the apple, so to speak. When you have a talent-laden program like Elko does with his Aggies, it does not take much for good to become great. In a league like the SEC, when you have more good players, you can run simpler concepts at a faster clip to much greater success. In short, you do not have to outscheme anyone...
Overall, Texas A&M had been the one team everyone was scratching their heads over why they had not made the playoff yet, up until last season... Now that the proverbial monkey is off their back, there is no telling how good the Aggies can be in the coming years. It would not be the least bit shocking to see them win their first national championship in the modern era before the decade comes to a close.
Right now, Elko and his staff need to continue expressing the importance of execution to win big here.
