Texas A&M football has sustained a couple of huge injuries thanks to the extremely physical game that was their showdown with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish a couple of weeks ago.
The Aggies emerged from that game with Scooby Williams and Bryce Anderson out of commission. Since then, it's been almost exclusively good news for both players, with Anderson in particular— who looked as though he may have had a season-ending injury— looking better than initially thought.
Of course, Williams may return even sooner than anticipated as well. He's been listed as "questionable" on the injury report all week, and as game time draws ever nearer, fans have been checking in on his status with a high level of anticipation.
This latest update shows that Aggie fans will have to ride this one out all the way up until kickoff. For a player so vital to this matchup, that will be a pretty rough road, but it's still not bad news.
Scooby Williams projected as game-time decision on latest injury news from On3
The latest buzz about Williams is that he has yet to be ruled out for this game, but he also won't be confirmed as a participant up until the game begins.
Texas A&M linebacker Scooby Williams is likely to be a game-time decision against Auburn, sources tell @On3sports. Has been listed as questionable on the last two SEC injury reports. https://t.co/JmscpnwCsm https://t.co/r2CFpdHUdW pic.twitter.com/OM86q8kpzR

With Jackson Arnold's propensity to pull the ball down and run, a guy like Scooby being available is massively important for the Aggies. While many initially thought he'd be missing for this contest, him coming back could even further bolster the Aggies' chances in this one.
Unfortunately, it looks like A&M fans will have to be in the dark on his overall status right up until the game is about to start. Even if he's unable to go in this one, though, we saw some good things from his backup, Daymion Sanford, up in South Bend, so A&M is still in good hands on that front.
