Texas A&M is gearing up to go to Houston, Texas to play in the Astros Foundation College Classic.

Questions are already streaming in from Aggie fans on social media in regard to their ranking as the top dog in the country, but injuries have not been kind to the Aggies to start the season. This certainly isn't the start Michael Earley wanted to have to kick off his Texas A&M career, but going through adversity is part of the game.

Gavin Grahovac is going to be sidelined for the rest of the season and will have season-ending surgery. A very tough blow for a kid who was going to rise in his sophomore season. Earley provided some key injury updates which will hope to clear some doubt in the clouds for any Aggie fans.

Josh Stewart and Caden Sorrell to be re-evaluated before SEC play

Senior right-handed pitcher Josh Stewart was dealing with a knee injury that re-appeared over the weekend against Cal Poly. Earley says the injury update with Stewart is day-to-day.

"Hopefully, I think best case scenario, a couple of weeks to a few weeks, just still not sure. Got to get him a brace for his knee that will come in here soon and then just evaluate it day to day and get a timetable."

This is better news that Aggies fans needed, as Stewart is a much-needed veteran who needs to be out on the mound.

Caden Sorrell's injury looked more long term initially, but an update from Earley provides some great hope as to when we can expect Sorrell to be back from a pulled hamstring.

"He pulled it pretty good. I don't anticipate (Sorrell) being available this weekend or maybe even the next. We're just going to try to see where we're at with him. Hopefully, by the Bama series would be nice. But again, it's just real fluid just depending on how he feels."

The Alabama series will take place in mid-March, which will be the Aggies' SEC debut this season. Hopefully, Texas A&M baseball will be in a good place around that time along with their friends on the hardwood.
