No. 3 Texas A&M has a seriously close call against South Carolina on Saturday, but the Aggies mounted a 27-point comeback against the Gamecocks to get to 10 wins on the season. Texas A&M was able to keep its undefeated record alive with the big comeback in the second half, and head coach Mike Elko knows they didn't do it alone.
The Aggies were able to play in front of their home crowd, known as the 12th Man, on Saturday, and while fans were grumbling in the first half, they were deafening in the second half. Texas A&M was able to overcome the deficit with great play, but also with the sound of the 12th Man behind them, and Elko made sure to give the fans their flowers after the game.

Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko knows the Aggies' comeback was not just about the players on the field. The 12th Man, one of the fiercest fan bases in the country, played their part as well. When a home team goes down 30-3 at halftime, a lot of stadiums would empty out, but not Kyle Field; they stuck around and were rewarded for it.
After Texas A&M's historic comeback against South Carolina, Elko spoke in his post-game press conference about how grateful he was for the crowd sticking around, especially with how much the Aggies were down.
"Thank you for staying with us, sorry for what the first half looked like," Elko said. "But in a lot of ways, you propelled us to victory in the second (half)."
Elko knows that without the help of the crowd, Texas A&M would have struggled even more to complete the comeback that they did against the Gamecocks. For a stadium to still remain almost completely full when the home team is down 27 points really speaks to the loyalty of the 12th Man.
It also seemed like Elko got a little emotional when talking about how the 12th Man stuck around till the clock hit triple zeros in the fourth quarter. This fan base is truly fierce and they feel something special is happening this season and they certainly didn't want to miss a second of it.
