Texas A&M put up the worst first half we've maybe ever seen out of this program against the South Carolina Gamecocks, down a whopping 27 points at the half thanks to awful defense and an inability to make anything happen on offense, but they then pulled off the greatest comeback we've ever seen.
That's not hyperbole. That was the biggest comeback in school history that we just saw the Aggies pull off, and it dragged the A&M faithful from the depths and doldrums to the mountaintop.
This not only got the Aggies to the ten-win mark for the first time since the 2012 season— when Johnny Manziel won the Heisman Trophy— it made that kind of history. It was such an unbelievable transformation that it still doesn't feel real at this point.
Mike Elko offers mic-drop moment to sum up just how insane Texas A&M comeback was
After the game, Mike Elko met with the media to talk about what just went on in Kyle Field. His summary of the game was absolutely perfect, and it shows just how crazy what Aggie fans just saw actually was:
"I think I read somewhere that teams were 0-286 [in that situation]... that's 1-286 now, I guess."Mike Elko
That's all you need to say about this one, really. No one has ever done what Texas A&M just did against the South Carolina Gamecocks— no matter the opponent.
If that wasn't enough to get you fired up about this team and program, maybe this video of Elko in the locker room after the game will be enough of a mic drop moment:

This is a special, special team. This is a team that has every single thing they've ever wanted to achieve directly in front of them, and it's becoming more and more realistic with every passing week.
