Four-star Jalen Brewster is a big-time target in the class of 2027, and it's time for Mike Elko to capitalize on a huge mistake by Texas Tech.

Former Texas Tech DL coach Zarnell Fitch has been in Lubbock since 2022, and he recently left the Red Raiders. He was one of the more reliable DL coaches in the league, developing guys like David Bailey and Romello Height.

The move has Brewster feeling some negative energy toward the Red Raiders, and it's time for Elko to step in and work his magic.

Texas A&M can move in on 4-star DL Jalen Brewster

This definitely means that Brewster is open to other offers that come his way. He made sure to be as firm as possible with his quote. Saying "no" is pretty telling, and it doesn't look like the four-star is going to go to Texas Tech. The changing of a coach is everything to a young athlete. That's their first impression. That's who they looked up to. It sounds like Brewster wants to find another home.

Texas A&M has the resources to get a guy like Brewster. He's already been building a class of 2027 heavyweights. The attraction of Elijah Robinson has been a huge advantage to Texas A&M, too. Brewster has to be giving A&M a look simply because Robinson has an amazing track record of building college athletes into NFL material.

We don't expect Elko to have the heavy odds now, but he's got a heck of a chance, as Texas A&M was a team already in the mix since May of last year. With Robinson, the Aggies do have a heck of an advantage.

There's a golden chance for Elko here, and knowing his short track record, he might be able to pull off one of the steals of the offseason.
