With seven Texas A&M players off the board through the first three rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Aggies are looking to be in a very advantageous position to get nearly all of their potential draftees selected. Several Aggie players have been selected even higher than many anticipated, like Nate Boerkircher and Albert Regis.
Importantly from a program standpoint, however, Texas A&M has already broken some records on the NFL Draft front with Mike Elko at the helm. With seven total selections within the top 100 of this year's draft, the Aggies have now broken new ground for the program:
Texas A&M set a program record for its most top-100 picks in a single NFL Draft, totaling seven. A&M never tallied more than five top-100 selections in a single draft, accomplishing that feat in 1977, 1987, 1994, 1996 and 2003.

This is quite the achievement for Texas A&M football, and it's quite the testament to what Mike Elko has done from a development standpoint with this team. Texas A&M is quickly transforming into a place that players know is one of the best places to turn into an NFL draft pick.
Mike Elko has demolished former A&M draft record, showing how completely he transformed Texas A&M football
Just take a look at the comparison that reporter Robert Behrens makes from how two second-round selections were regarded as portal prospects to where they were selected just one year later:
Texas A&M took the No. 185 and No. 530 players in the 2025 portal class and turned them into the No. 56 and No. 66 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

In the words of Mike Elko, “If you want to be really good at football, this is a really good place to be." pic.twitter.com/bwWyMxfZdU
As many have been pointing out on X, Boerkircher— a former zero-star recruit and the 530th-best player in the portal, according to 247Sports— was selected in the NFL Draft before former five-star Longhorn Anthony Hill was taken. That shows the disparity between the two programs right now when it comes to development.
The best part of this is that the draft isn't even close to over. There are four more rounds to go today, and the Aggies still have seven to eight potential draftees. Watch closely for Will Lee and Dametrious Crownover early on in today's action— they could be next off the board for the Aggies.
