Texas A&M safety Bryce Anderson suffered a scary head injury against Notre Dame almost two weeks ago that resulted in him being carted off the field and rushed to a nearby hospital. Luckily, Anderson has movement in all of his extremities and was deemed stable at the hospital.
Head coach Mike Elko gave injury updates on his players before the Aggies take on Auburn this weekend. One major update Elko gave was on Anderson.
While Anderson won't be available for the game against Auburn, which many expected, Elko said that he is progressing well, and while the head injury seemed very serious at the time, Anderson will be back playing football at some point this season.
"Bryce Anderson has a head injury; it's something he's going to have to recover from, but we're so blessed that it's not major," Elko said. "He's going to play football for us this year."
Mike Elko on the Aggie Football Hour: "Bryce Anderson has a head injury. It's something he's going to have to recover from, but we're so blessed that it's nothing major. He's going to play football again for us this year. Thank you to everybody for the prayers and well wishes."

The loss of Anderson certainly was scary as the young safety lay on the field for nearly five minutes before being loaded onto the cart and taken off the field. His team was able to rally around him and give him their love.
The Aggies were actually able to get the win for Anderson over the top-ranked Notre Dame team. Now, as Texas A&M gets ready to take on Auburn this season, they can know that their teammates it almost back on the field with them.
Anderson is in his fourth year with the Aggies, and it felt like this would be his breakout season. In just two games, Anderson had 10 total tackles and four solo tackles. Anderson didn't even need to play all of the games against UTSA and Utah State, thanks to leads in both of those games.
Now his team will just await his return to the field, which is something every single Aggie fan will be happy to see.
