It took a lot of work for Texas A&M to get their first non-conference road win vs. a top-10 team since 1979. That's why Mike Elko is your Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week and the Bear Bryant National Coach of the Week.

A lot of that work had to do with the help of everybody on the field. Le'Veon Moss ran for three scores. Mario Craver had a historic ball game. Dezz Ricks is playing out of his mind guarding receivers. The most attention is Marcel Reed getting into the Heisman conversation, obviously, still early, but something to think about.

Mike Elko earns multiple honors after Notre Dame win

It looks like the late Bobby Knight has some competition. After Elko got on his defense after a Jadarian Price touchdown, it's safe to say Elko had enough. He tore his defense into shreds and did his best Bobby Knight impression, throwing a chair while he was ranting to his defense on the A&M sideline.

I don't want to say this was a 'turning point' necessarily, because we were in the middle of the first quarter in a 14-7 game with Notre Dame on top, but this could've been what set off the energy for Texas A&M to start competiting harder from the second quarter and beyond.

This is arguably Elko's signature win as an Aggie head coach, and he's got a lot more to come. He helped turn Reed into a clutch quarterback with the weapons that SEC defenses should fear.

This won't be the first time he wins awards like these, but it's one A&M fans will remember for years to come.
