Mike Elko chimed in briefly on the quarterback situation in College Station after today's game, but his answer has remained the same as it was the last couple of weeks with regard to the starter. When the head man for the Aggies was asked about what he saw out of each player in this game, his answer for Reed definitely sounded quite a bit different than it did for Brady.
His evaluation of Reed was mostly pretty positive. There were certainly a few incompletions on Marcel's ledger today, but Elko mentioned that a couple of those probably should have been completions.
When it came to Hart, though, there was a little bit more of a critical eye on the part of Elko. He mentioned that the young passer was probably still moving a little bit too fast when he was back there in the pocket, but that it was good to get him out there and get him some reps.
Mike Elko's answers on Marcel Reed and Brady Hart shows he's not about to make a change at QB

Hart finished the game 8 for 12 for 107 yards and a TD pass.
"It was good to see Brady get out there. I still think he operates a little bit quicker than I'd like him to. I'd like to see…
When someone asked him later on about his thoughts on Hart throwing his one touchdown pass of the day, Elko definitely gave him the praise he was due, but he also mentioned that the way that the rest of the passing game was operating needed some work. He specifically mentioned the way routes have been run as well as the timing of the routes.
You'd think with a receivers coach working as your offensive coordinator that some of these areas would be strengths for an offense, but so far this season, they simply have not been. The Aggies have had plenty of trouble throwing the ball this year, and a lot of people have pinned that on the quarterback, but it's the entire operation that has needed some help.
This is a bit of a hit to those who hoped that Hart would end up being the starter when the Aggies make their way to Tuscaloosa next week, of course. It doesn't seem quite like it's the best idea to put a true freshman out there for his first start in an environment like that, and Elko definitely seemed like he was in that boat.
Whether Reed finishes the season as the starter is a completely different question, of course. The rubber will be meeting the road here in T-Town next week, so the Aggies will have to come out and play in a completely different way than they have in their previous two road games, or they will enter the bye at 4-4.
