Pro Football Focus has already shown us they're pretty high on the offense for Texas A&M football heading into next year, ranking the Aggies as a top-10 unit in that regard going into the upcoming season. However, it looks like they're also big time buyers when it comes to the Aggie defense, which they have ranked as a top-10 unit as well.

For those keeping track, they have the Aggies ranked as the 8th-best offense in the country and the 9th-best defense. It looks like they have the Ohio State Buckeyes as the inverse: the 9th-best offense and the 8th-best defense.

Ahead of the Aggies rank the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Texas Longhorns, both teams that ranked ahead of the Ags on the other list— and, as most A&M fans know, teams that the Ags will play on the road this year. This certainly, if nothing else, highlights that challenge.

Even though the Aggies are ranked 8th on one side of the ball and 9th on another, this ranking— if it were to hold true, that is— puts Texas A&M at around the 6th or 7th best team in the country. They're remarkably balanced, boasting top units on each side of the ball.

I don't think that's a crazy notion, given what the Aggies are returning. Cashius Howell is set to have a breakout year, Albert Regis brings seniority and experience, and David Hicks could be a force to be reckoned with. Taurean York and Scooby Williams round out a great linebacking unit, and Elko's assumption of defensive responsibilities should shore up the secondary— as well as the addition of Julian Humphrey.

Long story short, Texas A&M has the ability to rise to dizzying heights this year if they can play up to their potential. We saw flashes of that last year for the first time in seasons, but it needs to be sustain
