Texas A&M basketball may have a lot unproven on the court as they are gearing up for their maiden voyage under new coach Bucky McMillan, but a pair of Aggie Hoops players just showed that they're all in on the Aggie culture in an off-the-court fashion.

Rusty Surette of KBTX tweeted out a photo sent to him by a viewer of two Aggie basketball players who helped an elderly lady with her groceries at the Bryan Walmart. These players were unidentified in the photo, but Texags staffer and basketball savant Luke Evangelist identified the players as Marcus Hill and Rashaun Agee:

These are two of the premier names on Texas A&M's roster, which is poised to be one of the most talented in the SEC. Agee in particular just had a massive courtroom victory over the NCAA in which coach Bucky McMillan testified that he would be earning over a million dollars in revenue sharing this season— and yet, he and his teammate still took the time to help a local who was in need.

Aggie basketball players Rashaun Agee and Marcus Hill embody selfless service with good deed off the court

The best thing here is that, despite the fact that this photo was eventually tweeted out, these guys were by no means doing this for a photo op. They simply saw someone that needed help, and they chose to step up.

There's a stereotype of big time college players, especially in the era of NIL, that they get overinflated egos and become primarily self-concerned, bringing in a "look out for number one" mentality. That's unfair on it's face, as I think a lot of people would agree, and Agee and Hill are showing concretely that it's not the case.

While this is a testament to the way these two men were raised, it also shows that they're embracing the spirit of selfless service that is one of Texas A&M's core values. For guys that have transferred in and are spending a short period of time in College Station, it would have been easy to coast and do the minimum required— but Hill and Agee decided to step up when they were needed.
