Injury update: Who's playing, who's out for Texas A&M football vs. McNeese Cowboys
Injury update: Who will be available for Texas A&M football ahead of Week 2 matchup vs McNeese?
Texas A&M football emerged from fall camp as one of the healthier Aggie squads we've seen at that point in the year in recent memory. The most notable name out was Rueben Owens, who won't return this year, though Enai White and Jabre Barber were unavailable as well. Those latter two will be able to make their way back in 2024, however.
Unfortunately, however, the Aggies lost a man for the year in game one. For a team whom the injury bug has been all too fond of over the last few years, the hits seem to just keep on coming.
This week, of course, will function much more as a "get-right" game. Get the starters in, get them their reps, put up some points, and get out of dodge. Serious injuries in these types of contests always seem to sting that much more.
Hopefully, then, the Aggies can emerge without their roster being further affected on that front. Let's take a look at who is available for the Aggies for this game against McNeese.
Who is injured for Texas A&M football vs. McNeese?
OL Mark Nabou - OUT
RB Rueben Owens - OUT
WR Jabre Barber - OUT
EDGE Enai White - OUT
Like I said, hopefully those latter two can make it back before the season gets too far underway. All four of these guys would notch minutes on this team, but Barber especially is at a position of need for the Ags, as we all saw.
It's also worth noting that the quarterback for McNeese, Montana State transfer Clifton McDowell, is a game time decision for Saturday. It's possible that the Ags could be facing a team who is both overmatched and undermanned, which means that they better score at least 100.
Kidding! At least 70.
