B Tier: Bubble Teams

11. LSU | NET Ranking: 92

The Bayou Bengals are not really close to what they were under Will Wade, but they haven’t completely fallen off a cliff, either. They pulled off a nice road win over Texas A&M basketball early in the conference slate, but have since lost to the Aggies at home. They are currently 2-3 in both Quad 1 and Quad 2 games, with many more coming down the pike.

10. Georgia | NET Ranking: 80

The Bulldogs have a decent overall record at 13-5, but have mostly piled up their wins against lower-tier teams. They are 9-0 in Quad 3 and 4 games, but 4-5 in Quad 1 and 2 games. Three of their next five games are currently ranked as Quad 1 contests, though, so the rubber is going to meet the road quickly here.

9. Ole Miss | NET Ranking: 70

The Rebels have built a decent team in their first year with Chris Beard at the helm. They began the year on a huge winning streak, and still only have three total losses: the problem is that two of them were both shellackings at the hands of the two best teams they’ve played. The other was to LSU. A game against Texas A&M basketball this weekend will test the Rebels’ mettle.
