Gig 'Em Gazette: After a blistering start to the season, it kind of feels like Arkansas has played a bit below expectations the last two games. What's the fanbase's temperature on that at the moment?

Farmer: In the context of the last two games, sure. Arkansas played a near-perfect first half against Oklahoma State and raised Hog fans' expectations. But when we push that starting point back to the beginning of the season, most Arkansas fans thought the Razorbacks would be 2–2 at this point in the season.

Their performance at Auburn was horrendous, but they went on the road — in one of the toughest environments in the SEC — and found a way to win. Which, at the end of the day, is all that matters.

Gig 'Em Gazette: Taylen Green has put up some huge numbers, but struggled against Auburn. What did you see out of him in that game, and how do you expect him to respond against A&M?

Farmer: Taylen is inconsistent. He was at Boise State, and although I think he’s a better quarterback now, he’s brought that inconsistency along with him. He struggles with making his throws on time, leaving his receivers hanging. He did it three or four times against Auburn, and they paid the price.

On the other hand, Green can make some of the most incredible passes you’ve ever seen. His 58-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Sategna traveled about 67 yards before reaching its target. That’s just something you can’t teach. I don’t expect a huge difference against the Aggies. But I believe he’ll be a little more efficient against Texas A&M, which ranks No. 100 in defensive passing efficiency.
