Texas A&M Aggies News: Strong Close to 2024 Recruiting, Hoops Getting On Track?

Here’s your daily roundup of Texas A&M Aggies news.

Texas A&M football saw a strong close to their 2024 recruiting class, signing three prospects yesterday. Terry Bussey was the headliner here, but Arkansas WR flip Ashton Bethel-Roman and Duke OT flip Robert Bourdon shouldn’t be undersold, as both have very high upside. In short, Elko has proven that the worries about his recruiting ability are largely baseless.

Texas A&M basketball played a late game against the Missouri Tigers last night, and finally got a dominant win in conference play. Boots had 22, Wade had 18, and Andersson Garcia pulled down 16 rebounds. The Aggies will host Tennessee this Saturday in what is likely the biggest game of the season yet for A&M hoops. No doubt Reed will be rocking when the Aggies welcome the Volunteers to town.

The Twitter account for the Missouri basketball student section took a low blow at the Aggies, and the official Aggie Basketball account came back to clown on them after the win.

Speaking of clowning, LSU’s Sherman Wilson had a bit of a meltdown on Twitter after the Bayou Bengals were unable to flip Terry Bussey. It began to get embarrassing for the Tigers, as Wilson had been tweeting references to the flip being accomplished for the past few days.

News From Around College Athletics

Former Alabama coach Nick Saban (still weird to say, honestly) is reportedly joining College Gameday as an analyst. Many had speculated that this would be his next step, given the fact that he often helps with the ESPN shows surrounding the playoff/championship when his team isn’t playing in it.
