Texas A&M baseball’s pitching staff confirms that they are staying in College Station
Key members of Texas A&M baseball’s pitching staff confirm that they will be returning to College Station, will not be following Jim Schlossnagle to Austin
Though several Texas A&M baseball players have already entered the portal—some likely with a destination already in mind, some simply to keep their options open—there are some who feel they don’t need to make a decision one way or the other. Several members of the Aggie pitching staff have made clear on social media today that they are fully committed to return to College Station next year and going forward.
Shane Sdao, Troy Wansing (who was injured most of this year), Josh Stewart, Weston Moss, and others have all made posts indicating that they do not intend on changing their allegiances going forward.
Maybe the best post is from Longhorn transfer Josh Stewart, who is now a member of the Aggie pitching staff—of course, he went about things the right way. He said it pretty simply: “An Aggie does not lie, cheat, or steal, or tolerate those who do. Thank God for Aggie Baseball.”
I’m really happy to see this out of some of the members of the team. While it’s understandable that some of the other members of the team feel like they need to enter the portal in order to have every option available pending the hire the Aggies end up making, this is hopefully something that can begin to inspire some of the other team members to remain in College Station.
