Power ranking the SEC after week 10: #7 - South Carolina

What a huge win for South Carolina this past weekend. This is the Gamecocks team that everyone saw in the first half against LSU, before Sellers went down with an injury, stretched out for a full game.

This, in other words, is what Carolina can be if they stop shooting themselves in the foot, as they so often have. It finally all came together, and it manifested in a 20-plus-point win over a top-10 team.

Carolina now sits at 5-3 with games against Vanderbilt, Missouri, Wofford, and Clemson. They could be riding a 5-game win streak into their matchup with the upstate rival on rivalry weekend if they’re able to navigate this weekend’s road trip.

Believe it or not, given their schedule, they could be in the CFP discussion if they win out, depending on how a few other things break. Talk about a program-revolutionizing result for Shane Beamer!
