Power ranking the SEC after week 10: #9 - Missouri

Mizzou got an off week after being embarrassed in Tuscaloosa, 34-0. The Tigers have failed both of their big tests so far this year pretty soundly—41-10 to A&M and the aforementioned loss to the Tide.

In the preseason, it was this upcoming game against Oklahoma that was tabbed as the third big test for the Tigers, but now it appears that that game will be a much easier contest than what follows: a trip to the other Columbia.

Mizzou has what we might call a “scheduled loss” upcoming in the back-to-back road games against South Carolina and Mississippi State. I’d be much more inclined to believe they lose the front end of that back to back than the back end, especially as this is a game that is scheduled to go into the evening.

9-3 with the Tigers’ schedule would be a pretty disappointing year for Mizzou, as it would likely include no wins over ranked teams at any point and losses in the only difficult games of the season. But they may be headed for just that result.
