Power ranking the SEC after week 12: Georgia jumps, Texas A&M eyes big finish
Power ranking the SEC after week 12: #10 - Florida
The Gators are simply a completely different team with DJ Lagway in the lineup—not to mention Elijhah Badger’s return as well. Lagway continues to flash huge potential and growth every time he takes the field, and he’ll soon be an even bigger name in the conference than he already is.
That said, there are still some clear holes on this team. The defense is playing better, but just because LSU wasn’t able to take advantage this past week doesn’t mean that those flaws aren’t still there.
I’d be very wary of Ole Miss coming in this weekend; I wouldn’t be surprised if the Rebels are able to make this one a snoozer pretty early on. But the Gators now sit at five wins nonetheless, and are knocking on the door of bowl eligibility—something that seemed like it would be a pipe dream early in the season.
UF simply has to go one-for-two against Ole Miss and FSU to get there. I think we all know how the chalk would look in those matchups, but rivalry games are weird sometimes. The Gators have already committed to another year of Billy Napier, but if he falters in both of these last games, things won’t be very rosy headed into the offseason.
