Predicting three Aggie transfer commits for Mike Elko: WR Cam Coleman
Is it too early to lay our cards on the table here? The connections between Coleman and the Aggies run very deep— so much so that this has seemed like something that has been coming since after his freshman year.
Coleman was committed to the Aggies for over a year before flipping to Auburn following Jimbo Fisher's departure. He's never really blossomed the way he should on the Plains as far as putting up massive numbers, but he's been the brightest spot by far on a pair of very poor teams for Hugh Freeze.
Holmon Wiggins was his primary recruiter from Alabama while he was in high school, and is now the Aggie OC. He obviously has a high degree of familiarity with the program and the school, and KC Concepcion just served as a massive proof-of-concept for the Aggies when it comes to bringing in portal receivers and lifting their NFL draft profiles.
That's not even to mention that, among the disparate lists that rattle off his possible landing spots, the only common denominator is Texas A&M. There is simply too much here to ignore— while this could certainly drag out longer than this week, I think the Aggies end up landing Coleman's commitment despite hard charges from Texas and Texas Tech.
