When Georgia set the record for the most players selected in a single NFL Draft three years ago in 2022, it was seen as a record that would not likely be broken for many years yet. But if Pro Football Focus's Big Board is correct, Texas A&M football could at least tie the Bulldogs this year.
The leading NFL Draft outlet in PFF recently listed off the schools with the most players on their Big Board, and— unsurprisingly— the Aggies led the way with fifteen players. If all fifteen of those Aggies end up as NFL draft selections, it would mean that A&M was able to do the unthinkable and tie Georgia's mind-boggling record from a few years back.

It's hard to overstate what this would mean for Mike Elko's program. He's already had the Aggies do a complete 180-degree turnaround in terms of player development, but this is a frontier that no one thought possible coming into his tenure.
Texas A&M could tie record for most NFL draft selections in a single year if things go right
Mike Elko has hinted at the idea that the Aggies will get into the double digits when it comes to NFL Draft selections, but fifteen is far beyond what anyone dreamed when he made that reference. So just how realistic of a goal is this for Texas A&M football?
It would be a little bit of a stretch, based on historical data. For example, in the year that the Bulldogs broke the record, they had 14 players invited to the NFL Combine— the Aggies had only 13. Both led the nation in their given years, but Georgia's being higher is relevant.
It's not very common for a player to be selected without being invited to the NFL Combine— it happens every year, but a far greater percentage of the selections, obviously, were extended an invite to Indianapolis. The Aggies would need two non-invited players to be selected to tie this record— guys like Tyreek Chappell fit the bill, but it's tough to know if that is realistic.
PFF also added Amari Niblack from the Aggies, but it's tough to imagine him being selected simply due to a lack of production. His physical traits are intriguing, but that will likley play out in a camp invite as a UDFA rather than a late-round selection.
Hopefully, this comes to pass and we see the Aggies tie this record. It would be a real testament to what Mike Elko is building in College Station.
