Former Texas A&M basketball player Quenton Jackson has been working hard in the NBA and G-League for quite some time, hoping to one day earn a full-time NBA contract. Both with the Washington Wizards and the Indiana Pacers organizations, Jackson has flashed thanks to his ability to create, score, and— of course— his highlight dunks.

With the Pacers undergoing so much injury-related hardship this season, Jackson has gotten a huge chance to show out with increased minutes. He has risen to the occasion masterfully, causing fans of the Pacers to begin to clamor that he be a part of the team on a full-time basis, rather than the two-way contract he had.

That wish has been granted, as it was announced yesterday that Jackson would receive a three-year contract from the Pacers organization. This was a big win for fans who love his energy and contribution to the team, and you can tell Jackson's teammates were hyped about this as well.

Aggie fans know the kind of excellent teammate and human that Jackson is, and you can tell from the below video that his teammates are hyped to have him join them on a more permanent basis:

How about NBA star Pascal Siakam leading the excitement for the former Aggie guard? That's a pretty cool moment all around.

This is quite the story for a guy who came from the ranks of the undrafted all the way to now earning a three-year deal from a franchise that was in the NBA Finals last season. Jackson has shot especially well from the field in this time— you can see almost everybody in the comments talking about his 40% shooting from beyond the three-point line, and the accuracy has translated on increased volume as well.

Congratulations to Q! He joins an elite club of NBA Aggies that includes Alex Caruso, Khris Middleton, and others— and with Bucky McMillan at the head of A&M basketball, that fraternity will only grow in the coming years.
