Recruiting expert decries 'ridiculous' viral Micah Hudson NIL graphic: Ridiculous rumors making the rounds about Texas A&M football transfer are 'unequivocally false'

Texas A&M football fans know all too well about false NIL narratives and how quickly they can get out of hand. That was the case with the record-breaking 2022 class; though the idea that the Aggies outspent every other program in order to land that class has always had obvious holes, there are many who still believe it.

That's why Aggie fans have had such heartburn over these recent events. A screenshot has been making the rounds claiming that Micah Hudson, a recent huge win in the transfer portal for the Aggies, was making some truly outlandish NIL demands.

As I wrote on the site yesterday, this screenshot apparently emanated from a Texas fan site; though Longhorn fans have always wanted to see Hudson in burnt orange, he never really gave them much real consideration, and now that he's elsewhere, it makes sense that they'd react this way.

Someone in the know, however, has had enough. Recruiting expert Ryan Brauninger went on the radio today, and spoke about— among other things— these rumors about Micah.

"The, uh, I guess the graphic that has been made with a screenshot of a Texas Tech message board about Micah Hudson's NIL deal? That is total buffoonery. Every piece of that screenshot is false. It's incorrect."

Brauninger has covered Hudson since the receiver was in high school at Lake Belton in Temple, Texas. When Micah chose to head to Lubbock, he was as complimentary as ever.

That's why it has to be extra frustrating that some of this stuff is gaining traction simply because of where Hudson has chosen to transfer. When the Red Raiders landed him, he was the highest-rated recruit in their program's history— and still is. There were many whispers of a huge NIL deal being a big player in that result, but most understood that this was sour grapes from scorned fanbases.

Now, though, there are people who are all too ready to believe some of the most outlandish claims we've ever seen, just because someone posted a screenshot with a fancy border over top of a picture of Micah.

Will this stem the tide of these rumors? Probably not. But don't say we didn't try.
