Texas A&M is doing an amazing job of parlaying their success on the field so far this year into momentum on the recruiting trail in both the 2026 and 2027 classes. It looks like their efforts are about to reap some rewards very soon, as Hayes Fawcett of On3 has signaled that a big time commitment is headed Texas A&M's way.

The best part about this for Aggie fans is the fact that there's no real way to know who exactly this is. That may sound strange, but the reason it's a positive is that Texas A&M is the front runner for several massive recruitments in the 2027 class.
It could be five-star Albert Simien, an offensive lineman from Lake Charles, Louisiana, who was predicted to land with the Aggies about two weeks ago. He's the top interior lineman in his recruiting class, and would be a massive get for the Aggies.
Texas A&M predicted to land massive recruiting win in near future
It could be John Meredith, a five-star cornerback out of Euless, Texas, and a consensus top-five player in the class of 2027. He also received a prediction to land with the Aggies in recent days, and is one of the top recruiting battles in the nation— so to land him would be a huge coup as well.
There's also the possibility of a guy like Jayquan Snell, a safety out of Waxahachie. While not a five-star, Snell is a consensus top-50 player in the nation and one of the best in the state of Texas, so the Aggies could bolster their defensive backfield with his commitment as well.
There are so many other possibilities as well. It seems too much to hope for a flip of a Tank Jones or a Lamar Brown, but those are both big time recruits that had the Aggies in their top 2 in the 2026 class that may be rethinking things. Especially with Brown, who is currently committed to an LSU program where the vibes are less than stellar, Texas A&M could be looking to make some inroads soon.
As soon as this news drops, one thing is for sure: Aggie fans everywhere will be excited. There's a lot to look forward to in this Elko regime, and it's clear he isn't slowing down any time soon— on the field or off.
