Power ranking the SEC after week 8: #7 - Missouri

The Tigers, for whatever else you can say about them, have won every single game that they’ve been supposed to so far. That’s not something you can ascribe to many teams this year!

They now enter another week where they are an underdog, however. Like Georgia is for Ole Miss, this Alabama game has been the one circled for the Tigers from the beginning of the season—this is what they’ve been preparing for since early on in the year.

Of course, Vegas still has the Tide favored by two touchdowns, even though the Tigers boast a better record. DeBoer’s squad is looking less and less like they have championship mettle, though, which has to be concerning for Tide fans.

Can the Tigers take advantage? That remains to be seen. This recent performance against Auburn isn’t exactly encouraging, but you could blame it on extenuating circumstances. Cook, Burden, and Noel will have to play out of their minds to win in Tuscaloosa—but it’s not out of the question.
