Texas A&M football and LSU get things started with some pregame fireworks as scuffle erupts
Texas A&M football and LSU is the most consequential game of the weekend. With both teams undefeated in conference and controlling their own destiny, the Aggies and Tigers are looking to seize the inside track to SEC supremacy.
Since this is such a consequential game, of course, there's been no shortage of buildup heading into things. The Aggies and Tigers have had some players sniping at each other before kick, as star Aggie OL Ar'maj Reed-Adams and budding star Tiger DE Bradyn Swinson were exchanging pleasantries on their respective X accounts.
That war of words seems to have boiled over into some on-field ribaldry ahead of the game. While both teams were on the field for pregame workouts, it looks like some A&M players got into things with LSU players, with Reed-Adams and Swinson at the center.
It looks like the Aggie players were warming up in their normal spot before several of the LSU players made a point of going over to exchange some words. This is a tough-nosed Aggie group, though, so they wouldn't be backing down in the face of tactics like this.
I know this is a hotly-anticipated matchup, but this flies in the face of anyone who is trying to downplay this rivalry. These are two teams that in no way like each other, so I'd anticipate a chippy game tonight. Hopefully, it's the Aggies that remain the most composed and end up taking home the victory tonight.
